  • Kinkajous are solitary, or live in loose groups.

  • They are nocturnal.

  • They make a wide range of vocalisations with each other and their keepers.

  • They are omnivorous and eat a wide variety of plant material, insects and small mammals.

  • 95% of their diet is made up of figs!

  • Their tongue is 5 inches long.

  • They have a prehensile tail which is 40-60cm long!

Neotropical forest of central America and the Amazon basin.

Omnivore - Mainly fruits, supplemented with insects and small mammals.
