The HCC is considered reasonably wheelchair friendly.

We are a natural site, and as such, many of our pathways are formed of natural material which will naturally change depending on weather and seasons.

We are currently in the process of upgrading our pathways from natural bark that can change in adverse weathers to resin bound gravel, decked areas and concrete pathways. This is a large transition for a small site and so this may take us some time, especially on gravel areas that need to settle before resin can be added, but we are sure that you will see the benefits.

Ramp access

Our buildings are easily entered, and are done so frequently by wheelchairs and pushchairs. We do have ramps available. If this is something that you would like to make use of, please let a member of staff know.

Accessible toilets

We have an accessible toilet for use. This can be found with the main toilet block and is marked on our maps.

Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs are not currently permitted inside the HCC. If you regularly rely on assistance dog, please contact us beforehand.

Free entry for carers

Visitors with disabilities may admit one accompanying carer free of charge when they pay full adult/child price. Please bring proof of entitlement such as a blue badge, or a Personal Independence Payments letter (issued by the DWP benefit office).
