Aardwolves back at the HCC!

What's this?!

Another new species!

In February we welcomed a Southern aardwolf to the HCC, andthis week he has moved into his new habitat.

Smaller, and a LOT hairier than the previous aardwolf species we kept here at the HCC, he is a confident chap and is easily excited by his keepers.

Aardwolves are exclusively an insect eating species. In the wild, they will consume around 250,000 termites in one sitting!

We hope to welcome another aardwolf to the centre in the not too distant future.

See if you can catch a glimpse when on show from this weekend coming!

"We are so incredibly proud to house aardwolf again, and we can't wait for our visitors to learn about these incredible animals"
