Our shadow a keeper experience lets the adults get their hands dirty! Our shadow keepers will join a member of our team in helping care for a wide range of animals here at the centre, and learning about what it takes to look after them! What better way to experience the day to day running of the HCC?! You'll be helping with all aspects of being a zookeeper, trying your hand and making feeds, testing your cleaning skills and making enrichment and puzzles to name just a few things!
HaLf dAy
Half day: £99.99 per person
Max participants: 2
Your experience...
Starts at 1.30pm and finishes around 4pm.
Includes a certificate at the end of your day.
Free admission for participants.
fUlL DaY
Full day: From £165 per person
Max participants: 2

Starts at 10am and finishes around 4pm.
Includes complimentary refreshments for the participant(s) and a certificate at the end of you day.

Experiences are valid for 12 months from date of purchase and must be booked and completed before expiry.

The encounter is available for participants aged 15 years and over. however any person under 18 years old must be accompanied by a spectating parent or guardian paying normal zoo admission (1 adult per 1 minor). Any other guests wishing to watch the experience will need to pay normal centre admission prices.

A maximum of two people may take part in the experience.

Masks must be worn on this experience, including those that are usually exempt. If you are usually exempt, please contact us before hand.
